Gandhinagar, Thursday: In this difficult time of coronavirus spreading fast, Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani has empathetically decided to dedicate 150 new ambulances, equipped with full facilities, into service for the citizens-patients in record one week’s time.
Mr. Rupani flagged off these 150 new ambulances from Gandhinagar to the different districts to ensure timely ambulance service to coronavirus for patients from the entire state from Kutch to Dang.
The Chief Minister took prompt decision in a Core Committee meeting, held before a week, to avail 150 new ambulances on urgent basis. As per the directive given to the Health Department, the State government has completed the process at total cost of Rs. 26.38 crore in just one week and availed the ambulances for health service.
In these 150 new ambulances, oxygen facility, necessary medical equipment and paramedical staff facilities have been completed in a record time of just three days.
Against the arguments that the buying, registrations and facilities of 150 ambulances could not be completed in as short time as just a week, the transparent and decisive government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani, has set a great example by making such impossible task possible for the service of people.
These ambulance services are well equipped to treat the needy patients in the state from the hinterland like Dang to the border area of Kutch in this widespread corona transmission.
Not only this, paperless digital monitoring of these services by GPS system, smart phones, experienced and trained personnel will be possible through CM dashboard.
With the launch of these new 150 ambulance services from today, more resources are added for the treatment of corona infected patients, which will provide timely and immediate facilities.
On this occasion were present Education Minister Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. M. K. Das, Principal Health Secretary, Dr. Jayanti Ravi as well as senior secretaries-officers.
